#41 Saad El-Hawli - thru 2025

But only a handful have the potential to be part of a successful Essendon side in the future.

You wouldn’t sub any of those off unless you were a complete and utter fckwit.

Which Brad Scott and his group are.

So yeah.

Disgusting treatment from Brad Scott. Saad will fck off and look a million bucks elsewhere.

What’s your point?

By all reports Archie Robert’s had a poor pre season, now look at him

Maybe just back in the kid instead of subbing him at the first chance

Archie had a couple of good perfomances in the vfl last year and won a spot in the side

Saad hasnt done that

Are you Brad Scott’s love child?

No, just his apologist!

Certainly displays the same level of football nous.

Everyone is entitled to their view Nino, so all good.

I just find some of Scott’s decision making defies logic and cannot be reasonably explained.

Ok say Brad gives him 3 or 4 games in a row in the seniors and still dosent show much then what?

Did you watch the game vs Sydney - he showed plenty!

Then if he gets dropped, fine.

But he needs to be given that chance first.

You give him a month, if he struggles he goes back to the vfl for a week or two to gain confidence and form- then you bring him back in

I did kicked a goal from a 50m penalty and then not mucb else after that

21 touches and a goal is solid output. Admittedly a quieter second half.

Again though, it is about giving him that chance, a number of games in a row. And if he doesn’t show enough then, well, you drop him. But a player needs to be given a fair go, not play a half here or there.
Also against different opposition you will have different matchups, some you will win, some the other player beats you. That’s part of learning and development. Basing a decision to drop a player after 1 game, or even half a game, is not really a valid decision.

Jones is an example: Brad has given him many games to find his feet and develop his game. He isn’t really improving in any substantive way. Yet Brad isn’t dropping him or subbing him (unless injured). Why?

Why treat SEH and Tsatas differently to Jones, who has really shown less than they have?

Geez Nino.

Are you so weirdly in love with Brad Scott, that you have to defend every single decision he makes? Like, every friggin one? In every thread?

P.s. North.

Seriously overrated player. I don’t see the hype over him.

by what metric?

I don’t necessarily rate him that high, but compared to the player he is replacing (Jones), SEH is light years ahead in terms out output after 1.5 games.
