#42 - Jayden Nguyen

Hells yeah, the Lad loves rocking some TN’s.

You need evidence, do you? I’m going off his smug interviews when he appeared to take joy in putting one over their NGA club.

If he’d got K Coleman or the Freo guy, I might have had a different view.

Rosa didn’t start until “the pre Christmas period”.

I don’t disagree he probably enjoyed his role when fronting the media during Trade Week. But I don’t see how that impacts his decision making when the whips are cracking. This is the sort of crazy chat that has grown legs over time where literally saying anything about Dodoro flies because of the mythos that’s grown around him.

I also don’t see how missing out on Coleman is his fault - he bid on him which was a great call with 20/20 hindsight, and we should have gotten him if not for the AFL not following their own rules (and now you’ve gotten me angry over that all over again).

Wasn’t it Vozzo and scott and RFK doing the draft or something to that effect

I have no idea, just that the statement that it was Rosa was clearly incorrect.

It really doesn’t matter either way. We will know if 6 or 7 years whether the Rosa period is a success. Trying to claim some sort of difference at this point makes no sense.

Develop him alongside Roberts and El-Hawli. Most teams now have three running players who are capable of defending last line and playing high defence positions/onto the wing.

I think he would be a good candidate for sub at times as well.

Well, I did mention Coleman as one he missed due to AFL cheating.

Would like a Anzac debut on the back of last week’s effort certainly deserves a game more than Gresham.

I reckon he’s a sneaky chance if Redman doesn’t get up.

Low pick, first year player, he’ll be lucky to get a game in 2027 under brad, if he makes it to then and I’m a Nguyen fan.

Hasn’t always been the case but I reckon being a higher pick immediately gets you higher up the pecking order with Brad.
We need to move past Gresham and get one of Nguyen or Davey in asap.

I like him but I think that’s optimistic. More likely Martin or Shiel slides back and tsatas comes in or jones returns to the wing

Could also just mean seh plays a full game at half back, which I wouldn’t mind tbh

Tell that to tsatas

I reckon the Shiel experiment at half-back experiment is over. They would also be reluctant to move him out of the midfield considering his form. Martin is proving himself too valuable up the field.

If Clarke was available he’d likely be a good Redman replacement. I reckon El Hawli is back to the twos to find some form and that they consider him a winger rather than defender.

Don’t think Nguyen will play, just that he’s some chance. The conditions would suit him and we’ll need to find matchups for Hill, Elliott, McCreery and DeGoey.

i think you could throw him at hill but the other’s would be a very tall order for him.

to be clear, i really like Nguyen and think there’s something to work with there. I’d be pleasantly surprised if they through him in early but there’s no way brad will do that.

Out: Redman
In: Zac Johnson (debut)

I was thinking McCreery

mCreery is monstrously strong and senior players find him very difficult to tackle, i remeber kelly bouncing off him like a trampoline last year or the year before. i think you’d be asking a lot of Nguyen in his first year.
