Which is worse? The Lawyer or the Opiates?
I used to think like you. That in itself should be enough to know that you are wrong!
No oneās beyond criticism but we know just enough fact (from a pretty reliable source) whatās going on in his world and to go and just label someone like from this far away is just astounding.
Footy teams thrive on empathy, I thought thatās be pretty clear by now. Iād rather him sit out and get the care he needs than make AA if heās miserable.
It sucks him not playing but to crack it cause heās not appeasing someone elseās professional aspirations misses what the clubs trying (finally) to do totally.
And bellyaching that if heās not there for Dreamtime is making us look stupid is another one.
Me blood runs cold.
As someone who has extracted everything possible from his own natural talent and circumstances, professionally, health wise, as a role model, always giving everything I can and always with a cool and mature head, whilst coming from a far more difficult background and with far less opportunities available to me, I feel morally entitled to judge Tippa.
Heāll play Round 1.
Especially given the VFLM and VFLW teams had a combined smoking ceremony yesterday.
(Yes, apparently we have some VFLM players!)
And kick a bag of goals.
On FIFA while rehabbing
It is patently obvious you are coming from even further back in life, so what is your excuse? A pathetic post.
At what point does he get treated like another player on the list? Heās 28-29. I remember Reimers at the club and he had a horrific upbringing but was given nowhere near the slack Tippa has and thatās when he was a young fella. I really hope Tippa can get his ā ā ā ā together and play good footy for another 2-3yrs but it doesnāt look likely.
Support. Show some.
As far as football potential goes, youāre comparing Walla with Reimers? Really?
Thereās a Marvel timeline somewhere where:
Peak JoeDan
Peak Walla
Stringer
Irving Mosquito
Kicks 150+ goals and loses a prelim
Reimers had a poor work ethic/attitude and as far as I recall wasnāt suffering from any mental health issues whilst at the club. You are not comparing like with like hereā¦
Stop digging the hole, you will only bury yourself.
What you mean like when Francis was supported when he went through some personal issues? Or McKenna and his home sickness?
And Reimers was a selfish, lazy, show pony. He got back what he put in.
Very big difference between him and Tippa.
Any player having genuine personal/mental health issues (and not the nose beers, hard partying kind) deserves all the support available.
But on a serious note, mental health needs to be treated like an injury. One of our star players is in rehab from a potentially career ending injury. People donāt get over depression by simply thinking positive or having a better work ethic.
So hence our compassion. Itās a tiny bit of assistance, but the best we can offer.
Never heard of this.
he was forced to wear fluro shoe so he could be hirdās example.
As we, as a society, become more open and understanding about genuinely discussing mental health issues and the serious impact they can have on people, youāll find that the people that are too stupid to fully grasp the underlying concepts and think that depressed people should just ābe happyā will become louder and angrier about it.
Mostly because they simply cannot understand it
