Lord is hardly a locked in defender given he’s 18. From training reports this week it read that he played forward and showed some things. Definitely not a replacement for Walla but a something of a wildcard we can work with to fill the gap.
Franga was a hell of a lot younger though, and his personal issues were markedly different than what’s going on here
Hope isn’t lost, but there’s no denying this is immensely worrying.
Just hope the bloke does ok.

It would be a fairly extraordinary and almost unprecedented show of strength and resilience for him to get back given all the circumstances.

Agree - except that Stengle was available last year in the MSD with blazing reports and we took a conservative approach as usual and did not want to take the risk because of his misdemeanours as understood.

Unfortunately I can’t see him coming back. Has been a joy to watch. Hope he gets through what he is going through.
