#43 Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti - WALLA MACCA TIPPA - joining Tiwi Bombers

Can can run down the 3 of them no?

I said he would play. He did.

Was he “not ready” for 4 quarters? We won’t know because he didn’t play 4 quarters.

But look I concede I was concerned when he was struggling in the fourth quarter. Hands on hips, not making it to contests etc

In the end, like you said it was a nice touch and if Brad Scott had his way he would do it again.

C’mon buddy,
Walla shouldnt play in the 1’s for a month.
It was great to give him 1 game as SUB to take the pressure off, and give him some nourishment re the comeback.

Now its time to go back and put forward some work at VFL level and the track.
He MUST shed 3-5kg.

HAHAHAHAHA!! He played one quarter and he’s not going to be able to back up this week. How can you not comprehend that he wasn’t fit enough for 4 quarters?

Haha turn it up. When you said what you said it was patently clear you were talking about him being named IN the selected team to take the field and you were almost being dismissive of anyone who felt he wasn’t physically ready for 4 quarters just yet.

Hey look I’m not into fighting with Essendon fans.
I have zero interest in getting into a debate.
I made a concession. That’ll do me.

All the best :+1:

Sometimes we get them wrong, mate.

It’s all good.

We do

It takes a real man to own up. Well done.

Who cares if he was ready or not, the supporters and club needed that.

Now we properly manage him (exceptions for ANZAC day, i want him burying ■■■■■).

Don’t disagree at all with the fact that it was executed perfectly by the coaches on the weekend and that little taste can only serve to encourage and motivate Tippa over the coming weeks to gradually get to where he knows he needs to get to to run out full games at AFL level. If that’s by ANZAC Day that would be an awesome result and you’d love to see it!

Tippa was managed perfectly by Bradley. He clearly isn’t up to a four quarter AFL game and Sunday was the perfect scenario for him to be sub.

Even if something goes wrong or his fitness doesn’t get to the required level, that cameo on Sunday would be a much better final moment than the way he left last year.

He just needs to be prepped for our big MCG matches.

Next stop Anzac day.

Heard a rumour that walla has a sore quad.

Hope its just general soreness as put out by the club though, any training watchers seen him joining in this week, or in modified group?

It has been mentioned a bit this week (his quad), but he apparently has been running laps so I doubt the is any damage, and if there is it is extremely minor.

If it’s just sore/feeling it, then it’s probably just a reaction to the intensity of game day for the first time in 500+ days.
Probably best to play limited minutes in the VFL, or just give this week a miss.
I’m sure they’re on top of it, and it’s hardly a disaster.

Bring back Anzac Day

5-10 kgs would be better. But don’t see that happening
