Like me then?
That’s what I tell people… they just never happen to see me on my lower body fat days…

Agreed its just not the same feeling when our mids kick it ontop of Smiths head in our forward line
Very good signs.
Dean Rioli played overweight
I say ■■■■ it and put him in at least he can use his barrel of a body to knock a few kents over
you guys saw him play unfit the back half of last year, yeah?
he comes back when he is AFL fit. that’s in his, and everyone’s best interests. whenever that may be, in 3, 6 or 12 weeks it’ll be the right time.
let’s get over the obsession we need him back at all costs. Let’s get him back when he’s the best version of himself, and itll be worth it
Correct. Dean Rioli also sucked massively in his last three seasons, was pernnially injured and retired at 28. Great argument tho Nino. He plays when his body is fit and ready, or not at all.
I don’t see TIPPA as a demonstrative guy.
Disagree.
Tippa even 3/4 “AFL fit” is more productive and efficient in our forward line and therefore more valuable than the alternative’s. His fitness will likely improve with each game of AFL he plays.
I wouldn’t like to see him out for more than a week. Play him in the twos this week if possible. That’s it. He should be back in the side.
The comparison some have made to Dean Rioli is valid. He was probably the most skilled pure footballer I have ever seen in Essendon colours and he helped us win so many games. Some people would remark how he loved pies and wine etc & how unfit he was. All I saw was a bloody brilliant footballer that was nearly impossible to stop. I doubt Rioli was much fitter if at all than Tippa is during his playing days.
Anyway, just my 2 cents
Only 3/4 fit also increases his chance of injury
Rutten has previously said he’s not coming in until at a level that properly sets him up for rest of year and as such won’t be seen in early part of season
BRING WALLA IN
Not sure bringing in Walla before he is physically ready is in his best interests
I’m going to make this joke so many times once we get the Davey twins on the list.
Trying to lose weight with just exercise is a very slow process.
My son has a weight problem and he has a protein diet that he uses that allows him to drop 8 kilos in a month.
Must admit i respectfully disagree. Walla over the last few years has seemed to get less fit as the year goes on. With that comes huge drops in output… so much so last year he was close to unplayable 2nd half. He needs fitness base to be productive
100%
It was a pretty rubbish take really. The era where unfit players could thrive on talent alone has long since past.
Hard agree: it is just not possible at the AFL level. You could get away with it in NBA and NRL, but not AFL.
When I said we should play walla overweight I was actually had tounge in cheek
