I think the roles thing is very obviously in play. Horses for courses selection. And I’ve no problem with that at all.
He’s been workmanlike and ok, so far the reputed explosive brilliance hasn’t really come off. Which is one of the reasons I find it a fascinating selection at this point of the year.
It’s clearly a positional thing. BUT he has also been named emergency most weeks which indicates the coaches have seen him closer to a game than others.
I’ve watched the last 3 VFL games. Had an absolute mare against Port. But was one of the standouts in both the Collingwood and North games. Really like his work rate from half forward. Leading up to 60/70m out to be the link man.
Glad brad is debuting more players, but this call surprises me. I’ve watched 2.5 games of vfl this year and haven’t seen him really do anything.
Add in Zak Johnson and Angus Clarke and we can call it a rebuild with zero doubts
I like debuts - there’s that sense of hope and things getting better.
