#45 - Tom Edwards thru 2026

He will end up back at Freo or WC the way we are going.

Hey you might be right. The pull if successful could be big.

But he is what we need now. We need his proof in our play just at the minute.

Agree totally! Not sure blokes will want to hang around a club that struggles to win a game though.

It’s not that common for older blokes given a chance to move clubs though.

Theres still a little loyalty left in the comp.
Not that id blame anyone.

True and not so true. Life is funny thing to speculate about. None of us knew where we would be twenty years ago. Same for Ted…

Let’s have a crack first

I cannot see who we will beat this year. It would have to be a 100% turn around on yesterday’s performance and Scott looked horribly short of answers in the presser last night.

You’re acting as if the Crows are a bottom 6 team

Relax

and post in the right thread

I am in the right thread, I was talking about Tom Edwards.

he will get better too. he only recently found out he was celiac. he struggled to put on weight and couldnt figure out why he felt so sick after certain foods. such a natural forward doesnt need many opportunities.

He should be afforded a long clear run at the seniors fitness permitting, having an almost Martin like start at the club

Didn’t do a lot
Could have kicked one
Applied lots of pressure
Dragged Ratugolia away from Caddy
I hope he keeps his spot whilst Langers is out

6 touches with 4 clangers.

Then subbed.

About as bad of a game as you could get imo. Most likely makes way for perkins but im happy to persist with him

I think he is better suited to larger grounds. I would keep him in for the Melbourne and Weagles games at least.

Edwards looks like a guy who has a great footy brain in terms of getting into dangerous spots.

Very small sample size, not sure he has the physical traits to make it at the level. He’s fairly slight, not quick and is an in-between height.

This aged terribly

The messiah Edwards was a little quiet against Port - his spot may be in danger but given he is a messiah I wouldn’t write him off just yet

I’m worried about his build too but he is Coeliac and didn’t know for some time so fixing his diet may unlock his ability to bulk up

I said last week, i don’t think he looks like an afl player, he’s too messy or something and might lack the physical attributes at afl level. In saying that, I’d give him an off season in the gym to see if he can really pop next year.

I think he has some physical improvement required to be able to compete.
But he sure gets to good spots. I thought he was missed a few times when we came blazing through the centre and kicked it long to the square. At least twice i saw him 10m in the clear 30m ahead of the ball and about 40m out. We need to hit those targets and not kick it long all the time. He seems to be able to get free in those sorts of spots (the opposite of Jones, for example).

We can’t drop the messiah over Easter.
