#46 - Lachlan Blakiston

do we get to trade him or he walks straight there, as a UFA.

has to be traded, he’s still a draftee despite being mature aged

I’d hope we can keep him on.

Not just but because Vigo and Bryan are also coming off injury.

and he looked like One of the most comfortable multi position big men to debut in a while. Coming in mid season he has been really impressive. Love his confidence

He hasn’t signed on has he??

Surely he gets a year now that Draper is gone

He should push for a big pay rise. Fleece the club, Lachie!

We must keep him with Draper and Laverde leaving.

Lol, no one else is coming for Blakiston you numpties.

We have time to make a call on him (I also assume he will get a year).

I’m assuming the only way he gets to west coast is via the pre season draft, in which they have pick 1.

Of course they could trade and offer us a 4th rounder to lock it in earlier

There’s a team called west coast who are as equally SHT as us who could do with a ruck/key defender

resigning Goldy instead of this bloke would be the most Essendon thing to do.

Vigo is years away

Brad would love that . Make him feel that he’s back at norf

Vigo is less than 2 years away. He’s got all the tools

Vigo will be our number ruck by the end of 2027 IMO

Surely he’ll be injured by then. That’s how we roll.

Reckon Blakiston was worth a year even with Draper staying. Definitely wouldn’t be wanting to let him go now. Big blokes with his mobility aren’t common.

Having said that, if WCE want to pay up, I’m sure something might be arranged.

I hope we keep him though. He brought me a lot of joy watching him try his best at whatever ā– ā– ā– ā–  show we threw at him.

No, it would be the most Brad Scott thing to do.

I would say Brad would be more loyal to Goldie than the Club, so don’t be surprised. If Goldy says he can go around again, he will.
