All 4 of those teams might have rated him top 4. They just rated the player they picked above him.
Still ?
3 teams, including Brisbane who matched a bid on Ashcroft, but yeah.
They really need to step up the pressure on Tsatas this pre season, id be putting a hard tag on him or making him play opposite Merrett to really up the standard. If he’s improving at this great rate, push him harder.
Setters actually on Saturday started to do a run with role on him.
I want them to both do well.
The more good players, the better the competition, the more enjoyable it is to watch.
Ah, the memories. What a game!
try posting this sentiment in the ■■■■ carlton thread and see if you cop abuse for it.
it’s kinda sad, in general every day walks of life, if one took such pleasure in others failings as much as is exhibited on football forums about other football clubs sucking , you’d be considered a pretty ■■■■■■ and terrible person. Imagine taking a moral high stand walking around saying hey my life is ■■■■, but at least it’s not as ■■■■ as yours cos you do the exact same things as me and have the exact same results.
It is kinda sad in general, the only real joy and pride people can take in the EFC is mocking other clubs for being just as ■■■■.
it shows how far the club has fallen. at least when we did it in previous generations we had a decent club and results to justify that belief.
here’s a more apt picture of me reading blitz most of the time hahaha
That’s more like it
Ball magnet.
Big fan of his efforts today, especially at the centre bounces.
Clearance specialist. Liked his game.
It would be great to see him have a good year.
Hobbs looked good too. With Caldwell and Durham and hopefully a fit Parish we can finally play Merrett on the outside and hit a target in transition.
Kicking has clearly improved and quite significantly too
Pure confidence in his game and it showed today. He gets the ball at speed and finds someone to handball too.
My only knock on him, is his intent to tackle. Otherwise, he is just about our best clearance player already - just elite at reading the ball, and being first to it at ground level.
Yeah agree. I want to see his physicality and dog hungry competitiveness improve if he’s going to excell as an inside mid. Very pleasing first hit out though. It’ll be intriguing to see how he’s faring after a month or so if given adequate opportunity.
My only knock was him not flying for marks when it was in his vicinity as he is one of our taller mids, and opponents marked unopposed.
