5 things you are legitimately looking forward to this season

1 watching the implosion of the fans of whatever team we DO manage to beat
2 seeing a bunch of kids and fringe players get a lot more game time than they would in a normal season
3 The season ending
4 The season ending
5 The season ending

  1. Any win Essendon have - think 5 is a reasonable expectation.
  2. The end of the 2016 season
  3. How Laverde and McKenna progress
  4. NOT seeing Ambrose in the ruck
  5. Much maligned James Gwilt winning the B&F

Nice thread.

  1. Darcy Parish. Was so excited we picked him at the draft. Was over the moon to see him play with Dys but that will have to wait a while…oh well…anticipation has also been my favourite thing.
  2. Will Hams. Lot of love for this kid. Nothing would make me happier than to see him succeed.
  3. The first blitz game day thread when we win
  4. The reaction from all the naysayers when we win more games than we are expected to
  5. Ryan Crowley. Not only do I think he’ll have a massive effect on our players and contribute hugely to the team, but his experience coming back from a ban will be invaluable to our boys when they do the same.
  1. Zach Merrett
  2. Darcy Parish
  3. Jayden Laverde
  4. Kyle Langford
  5. Aaron Francis

Plus the end of the season.

  1. Brendan Godards movie. It’s totally set up for a this moment

Small forwards!

1 - Youngsters: There are so many I’ve got hopes for, that I won’t be singling any out
2 - Any of the 12 announcing/confirming that they’ll stay (I’m starting from the default position that they’ll all leave, so imo any staying is a bonus - Heppell and Hurley being the most important and Hooker not far behind)
3 - Forward line / Ball movement - This will be fascinating. Surely they’ll be better than last year. Maybe not consistent, but hopefully it’s the start of something new
4 - End of season
5 - The draft

  1. The players cleared.
  2. AFL to disconnect with ASADA
  3. The AFL ASADA and WADA investigation to be found corrupt
  4. An official apology to Hird for slandering his reputation.
  5. All 12 players to commit to 2017 and beyond!!

Oh and 2 wins - 1 against Carlton and 1 against Port.

1. The club under John Worsfold, he has certainly talked the talk over the off season and has been handed a challenge like no coach ever has, he has runs on the board. Can't wait to see what he produces.
  1. TIPPA

You used to be cool, man.

Get your priorities right.

  1. TIPPA
  2. Seeing the boys give it their all

  1. Stokes’ fashion sense
  2. Parish getting a haircut
  3. Endless comments about Gach’s leap
  4. The rapport between Luey and Cooney in rehab
  5. Following Jake Carlisle on Snapchat

That the clubs professional indemnity insurers pay out the upcoming 34 player damages settlements in full, and the the club stays solvent.
