#6 Joe Daniher - wants out of Tulla on the full

You are a pioneer in your field and I salute you, sir.

I hope that this is just a tactic by Joe to get a longer term deal out of EFC. As mentioned, 11 games in 2 years is not a great bargaining position to be in when negotiating what should be the most lucrative contract of his career. However, if it is true that he wants out, then the club has to move on and get the best possible deal for him. If you don’t want to play for us, there’s the door. I love Joey, I hate that he’s missed so much footy and that he’s become a point of ridicule now after the past 2 seasons. He hasn’t been able to play at his best. I’d like to think that as someone part of the leadership group that he’s here for the long haul, but if his head and heart are not in being a Bomber anymore then there’s only one thing we can do.

I don’t think he is leaving if he did on account of the medical team & being ■■■■■■ at club

It’s $$ related trying to secure the best deal for his future, which is a very uncertain future

I don’t want Joe to go, and I’m not joining in the speculation about what he will do.

But, if he wants to go to the Swans, I would jump at pick 4 plus McCartin. The Swans should be prepared to let him go if they are serious. And he is not 20 yet!
Joe has great potential, but he always has had great potential, and we are all still waiting for the day he learns to kick straight and can compete body on body in a marking contest.
I’m tipping that McCartin will be better at ages 22-25 than Joe will be age 28-31 (2022-2025)

This at least makes some sense. I would be happy with that deal.

Why would Sydney force a trade this year, it makes no sense, just wait until he is an FA in a years time. Why pay a heavy price for him this year when the odds are he wouldn’t be the difference in making a premiership in 2020 and you get him for nothing next year

now Essendon might want to trade this year but there is no way we’d have the leverage to force 2 2019 top 10 picks out of them. And absent that why would we seriously consider trading him.

There isn’t much about any of this that makes sense other than the fact that it is good for the news cycle.

If he goes, it really isn’t the end of the world

We will get good/great picks- which we can either take to the draft or trade

We can then put Hooker up forward. Hurley,Zerk,Francis,Ambrose can all play down back at various time

The best footy we have played over the last 2 years was without Joe in the side. It’s not ideal if he goes, but it’s not the end of the world either. If anything it could help us in the long term

It may actually be better for the long term health of the list to take the two first round draft picks. Invest in top end midfield talent (paging JBOMBER), strengthen an already very good u26 playing list, poach an adequate ruck - and then use free agency to target a key position player with the $$ from the departing Hooker, Daniher, Myers et al.

i reckon Joe sat back this year and took a look at how bad our ■■■■■■ midfield delivered the ball into the 50 and said, yeah, im out

Choosing the wrong club to go to then.

Because a lot can happen in a year.

He might get his body right, we have a decent year and he feels good about things again and he stays.

Do you understand that this comment is a bit stupid?

Ring-A-Ding-Ding!

I was hot for the one in orange. Probably still am to be honest.

I much preferred the curly hairded one.

Factoid: She’s married to that sack of vomit Kyle Sandilands.

Factoid 2: The one in orange wound up doing Christmas shows in one of those god-awful theatre restaurants on the fringe of the Adelaide CBD. She sucked. The whole cast sucked.

The highlight of their performance was a Simpsons rap.

Man, this thread has taken some weird turns.

It’s getting the thorough derailing it deserves.
