#6 Joe Daniher - wants out of Tulla on the full

My Wife and I got a dog and I managed to persuade her to name it Hurley. Got a second dog and it was already named. I was going to name that one Ryder. Dodged a bullet there.

First Son comes along 5 years ago. Considered myself lucky when the Wife came home and said I love the name Fletcher.
Fast forward to this year and though why not name this one Joey.
I’m bummed. Ordered a Bombers jersey with Joey on it and everything. At least he will grow out of it soon.

True but I think people are a touch indifferent because the club is f**ked regardless of whether Joe stayed.

So I’ve had the barrage of texts from all my Swans supporting mates up here in NSW after they’ve had a chance to Google who TF is Joe Daniher

They were quite taken aback by my ambivalent response which is not surprising as they know little about football beyond Moore Park Rd
If the trade goes thru I wished them all the best if they can get Joe on the park and if / when that happens hope that he can kick straight from set shots inside 50
They really were unaware how many games Joe has missed / played over the last two seasons with us and how we managed to make finals this year without a KPF

I’m sure once they get their clubs marketing pack they’ll see him as the next great white hope since Buddy looks to be on the slide
I reminded them that there are two clubs in Sydney that meet “Joes lifestyle change” requirements and maybe a last minute deal could see him head west of the harbour which would be a bit of karma bus after the Buddy / GWS thing didn’t turn out …

Anyway whatevs he wants out - there’s the door. His potential best is great but when will anyone ever get to witness it, looks like it won’t be with the Bombers just hope it’s not against us

LOL

JOEDAN had better get used to the Sydney Bubble, far more challenging than he thinks.

Surely he moves to your neck of the woods to escape the bubble

He’d be welcome to play for the Dubbo demons if he wanted to get away from the Melbourne bubble, would get a pie and a packet of chips for match payments.

A bit less than 5 years at $1m.

However the Dubbo bubble is not to be underestimated.

This is super easy. We should say it only happens for 5, Papley and Knoll, otherwise, wait to next year when you risk the salary should be break in half.

Papley wants back to Melbourne for “lifestyle” reasons, and he is a gun. Even in Fanta stays this year it will only be for 1 year and he will spend most of it on the pine. Good chance to fark over FCFC also.

I reckon this is Joedan having a sook about EFC paying top dollar to Shield whilst offering him unders. There is a danger is free agency trading.

I also think that they farked up by “going for lunch” and getting caught. Put them under the spotlight which is not where you want to be when trading in big talent (see Franklin trade)

Yes you do. Talk to him about Nick Stevens & Justin Murphy.

If that case and we Don’t get 2 first round pick from swan,so let Joe go into draft 2021 and we get what ever afl give us, it the same if swan only give one first round pick in 2019

If his body is cooked we might not get a first as compo depending on the salary offered to him.

Personally I’d be targetting him for the end of 2020.

Cameron still has a shot at winning the premiership next year before they reach a tipping point imo.

Draft 2x elite young prospects in 2019 with first-round picks, spend 2020 pumping games into the good young group of players, transition some of the has-beens out and then bring Cameron in as a free agent alongside another top 10 pick we end up with.

Bringing Cameron in would be great and set us up for the short-medium future; Cameron plus 2x top 10 picks sets us up for both the short and long term and would theoretically give us a prolonged premiership window.

Sydney’s statement is interesting.

The last part around approaching essendon to see whether a potential
Trade could be facilitated.

Not even close right now.

Joe must really badly want to leave Essendon - way more than a normal player would when requesting a trade. Can you imagine the pressure there is to stay? He must dislike it so much he’s willing to tarnish his family’s name. I don’t want a guy with that mindset taking the field for us next season.

Maybe we should get Jonas. Would that help?
