Ill get howled down by the usual crowd but thats okay.
He was the only player to not wear a club tie to the B&F. Yeah I’m going there. Do people just think it’s coincidence he just forgot? It’s actually fkn ridiculous how many people don’t see it as a big FK you to the club. Before I’m bagged out on this theory, I know Saladin, SMJ and a few others are of the opinion it wasn’t coincidental. Are they all tin foil hat wearers too?
He doesn’t attend the elimination final to “continue his rehab” lol, please. What else would he be doing on a Friday night, probably a case at home? Funnily enough a injured Dev Smith Came over. Couldn’t spare 2 days to support the team that your in the leadership group of?
The whole way the trade clusterfark played out. How good of look was it in hindsight him, a
A leader, catching up with Harley through the season? Terrible. You don’t do that. We all know what that meeting was about.
He’s been banished from absolutely all media, press releases, advertising, anything. this is also a guy who cited the “Melbourne bubble” as not being a factor at all to why he wanted out. If you play the way Joe does too just quietly, you don’t mind the attention. So it’s not to keep him out of the limelight. Ever since the trade request, its like he doesn’t even exist anymore.
He rarely is seen at training and never is involved in anything, even any competitions or anything that is a bit of fun and games/teambuilding. Again, is it coincidence he is the only forward today that didnt take part in the club’s forward group having a competition? Even Stewart (OP) and Johnson (acl) took part. Literally. Every forward at the club bar Joe.
He’s checked out and the tools are down. He has no Interest in our club anymore. It happened a long time ago. Its actually pretty reasonable to suggest there is a rift all things considering
Its not being a conspirast. Or looking into things. Its just putting 2+2 together. There are repeat examples now. I’d love nothing more to be wrong. Nothing. But I bet you I’m not.
I’m concerned about Joe. He’s my favourite player and don’t know when he’ll play again.
But some calm is needed.
It’s good that he’s not being paraded around. He didn’t like it so he isn’t being forced to do it and there are other people who can. I don’t think that because he jumps for marks and twirls his fingers after a goal means he’s a hypocrite. Everyone is different on the field that off.
In that video with Devon Smith micd up you can see Joe having what looks like a coaching chat with I think Harrison Jones. Then he’s having a good laugh with Jakey and Stewart. It looks like he’s enjoying himself and contributing to the team. It’s good to see.
I’d be more ■■■■■■ at the club and the decision makers behind keeping him if this was done for optics, as in we don’t want to lose face by trading away arguably our best player, a Daniher no less, and they knew all along that a) he’s cooked and b) he was likely going to down tools. I also hope this whole situation can turn around, he gets back on the field and is happy playing again and stays long-term, but that’s all it is, hope. The signs that WOB has pointed out don’t look great at all, not least the fact that he’s not yet fully recovered from an injury that he’s had for over 18 months. I said that Dodoro should be sacked with immediate effect if he’s let his ego get in the way of a trade. I’d also extend that to anyone else in the football department, or anyone high up in the administration, that blocked a trade just because it was a bad look for us…
How many times do we need to repeat this.
I don’t think we are covering anything new.
Sure, opinions differ.
Some may say we screwed up.
Others are happy he is still here.
Calm is needed; for we all want the same from him
Kicking goals, taking hangers, winning games.
Now just read the first letter of each line. You’re welcome.
