I don’t doubt they are training but it seems like the focus is on team building, it’d be good to see the majority, if not all of them up there. I don’t see why blokes couldn’t continue to rehab at coffs anyway.

Exactly, he went to Ireland and supposedly continued his rehab there. Shouldn’t be a problem doing the same things in Coffs
I’m sure some could, some couldn’t. It would depend on where you were in your program, what your program was, what facilities and people you required, etc etc. I would assume that everyone, Joe included, will be there if their individual situation allows it. And if it doesn’t, they won’t. Pretty simple really.

IF he is having mental problems and highly likely, why are we so unforgiving compared to Francis, I think the club gave Francis a free leash to discover himself again and we were all sympathetic. Are some people being a bit harsh here?

He’s got this really frustrating debilitating injury called OP, that is fking his chosen life and career up.
Surely you haven’t missed what’s gone on since this began, and can get some idea of how that would be affecting him.
There’s little doubt he would have had some very down moments, and it is very possible along with the Bubble syndrome" to have caused fairly severe issues.
May not be HIGHLY likely, … but it’s likely.

To request a trade away from a club his family is highly regarded, shunning all media, not making any public statements about his situation, seems to be trying to keep very low key. Only my observation, but think it is obvious and happy to respect his privacy.

Surely his injury is not that bad that he can’t participate in some handball drills/fun etc.
If I was Joe I’d be a bit down. I was hearing talk about him when he was 13/14. The F/S rule was changed in preparation for this guy coming through. He should be in the top 5 players in the comp, if not number 1. After 17 we knew he would be, we didn’t think/hope it. He comes to the club asan18 y.o when the biggest sh.tstorm in the history of football hits and as a 21 y.o he plays a season of footy with half a team he’ll never see again. 17 comes around and he’s leading the Coleman with 2 rounds to go despite spending 20% game time in the ruck. He’s the star we expected him to be. Even after the Sydney final debacle he can still hold his head high, unlike others such as Goddard who was pathetic that day but chooses to take pot shots at him because he didn’t get the extra season he thought he deserved despite the fact he was finished.
The injury that he has is clearly not straightforward and there is fault on both sides. Joe kept putting his hand up in 18 to keep playing despite us all thinking/knowing he wasn’t 100% which at other times would be consiered admirable. He wanted a trade, we held him to his contract. I loved that. He’s a rare talent and I hope like hell he gets back to full fitness and kills it, then re signs. The majority on this thread seem to hope like hell he ends up a crock so you can say I told you so. GET F.UCKED

It’s not plain as day. He requested a trade and he’s recovering from long term injury. Those are the only facts we have. Don’t speculate and talk like it’s fact.
I personally don’t think he’ll stay and i’m not sure how much footy he has in him but those are just opinion and worth absolutely nothing.
