Fairly sure Jetta was ready to walk at the end of knights reign and Hirdy had to talk him into staying
Way too easy to bag schite players. Agreed.Slattery in defence with a midfield that ran one way.
Just a role player, but it's all too easy to bag players who put in week after week for the red and black.

Spot on.
Apparently took a lot of convincing to stay from Hirdy.

do the germans have a word for when you are trying to be ironic but you accidentally are instead?
Other than Bags... Hocking... Howlett... Paddy... Dempsey... and of course Chappy... Melks... Jobey... Zerrett... his brother... And about 20 others.... sure. Right up there. You and Peeto are right though, he was in pretty fair form before that. But Dill is also right, that his weaknesses have been compounded the more our game plan has moved towards stronger team defense. Which is annoying, because Bags aside (and maybe Demps) Jetta is the best tackler on the list, and if he could have incorporated that into a more defensive style, he'd be the perfect half forward for us.
I reckon you are spot on Peedo. He looked like he might just become quite a good player and then he lost all momentum when he was suspended for staging as others have mentioned. His last two years have been pretty ordinary but he was best 22 in 2011 and 2012. To say that he has never played AFL standard football is not correct because he has at times played some very good football.
Let's not re-write history. He has a good 2011 and 2012. For most of 2012 he formed half of what was probably that year's most potent forward combo in Jetta and Davey (before the whole side fell in a heap).
I don't know how anyone can consider Jetta unlucky. He's had eight seasons on an AFL list without ever consistently sticking his head over the ball, running defensively for his teammates, or producing AFL standard football. That surely qualifies him one of the luckiest SOBs going around. What other AFL footballer has survived that long without fulfilling those basic requirements?
I am only pulling the ■■■■ when I call for his inclusion, I don't think there's any reason we'd bring him in, and he's definitely done, but let's not rewrite history.
When we were a really easily brushed off side, he was one of the worst offenders. He got better in 2012 so it wasn't a weakness, and he does seem to have a pretty good reach to get guys going past him, but he's not what you'd ever call a really strong tackler even for his size.
As he damn well should have been.Second...after Henry SlatteryKnights had him first picked every week ;)
Go Slatts you good thing,

That was the breaking news? Fark me.
Are we meant to be shocked ? Don’t blame him if he leaves with a grudge. Also would expect him to speak to media about things.
One of the worst re-signings we ever made. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

A grudge? Surely you jest!!! The guy has been on our lost for 7 years and acheived sweet stuff all. He was lucky to of lasted this long quite frankly

Or perhaps never handled the media attention around the supplements thing. He couldn't handle the diving stuff. Supplements was orders of magnitude worse.

He wanted out last year , I know what much. Was very unhappy with a few things. That's all I meant. Not because he doesn't have a football brain.

He could never handle the contact nature of AFL, had the talent not the mental side. Can sit right beside cupido in the failed talent bin

And further to that why would he talk to the media? He doesn't strike me as a guy that wants to get in front of a camera and spill his guts
Cya Leroy.
Thought you had a lot to offer us, but just couldn’t show it at a AFL level anymore.
Hope you experience success at your new club!
