#7 Leroy Jetta

Onya Jetta. All the best.

Nothing against Leroy but........................absolute pea heart

Wish I had half his ability.

What a waste

Who is next season’s Gumby or Jetta going to be ?

GET HIM IN !

Good luck Leroy. Unfortunately the game just seemed to pass you by. I hope you can find a new home and have some success.

Seeya Leroy, many thanks for your service to the EFC.

Wishing you all the best at your new footy home, where ever it may be.

A real enigma. In hindsight, still certainly was worth drafting and EFC giving him a go. 90-odd games shows he has something and can play at the highest level. I reckon 50:50 chance of getting onto another AFL list. Otherwise perhaps its a decent WAFL career for the next 4 years or so.

Any one that’s played 91 more games than me deserves respect. I would have loved to have played 1. Best of luck for the future and a terrific statement from his manager, club and all involved.

good luck to the guy. his manager didn't have to make that sort of statement either. smooth player, smooth exit.

What was wrong with the statement?

Sad that it didn’t work out between you and the Club after all these years. I still remember the few exciting moments of seeing you run and kick goals. Thanks for those kind words about the Club and your fellow Bombers.

All the best for your future endeavors.

Its a shame his essendon career ended this way, when he was good, he was an excitement machine. ill be happy for him if he gets a second chance and performs well.

Football is a tough competitive and sometimes brutal struggle,   both against your opponents and the others

on the list, who are, at the same time, your team-mates,

Surely does make it difficult for you and the friends you have at the club to part ways.

This process was conducted with dignity on both sides and thats how it should be.

Good luck in your future Leroy.

yeah that didn't come out right, i meant it in a good way. he didn't have to clarify the situation but did it for the clubs sake.

Best of luck Leeroy. I hope another club gives you a go and you get to 150 games.

Really disappointed it didn't work out for him.

He was building himself up into the silky small forward we expected under Hird in 2011-12 until he was singled out for staging and subsequently lost form and seemed to appear self-concious on the field. Thankfully the club backed him and gave him a new 2 year deal.

But then, just when he needed a big pre-season to build his confidence and game back up, ASADA happened and by all reports he was affected more than most. He never looked like getting back to his form of 11/12 in 2013 and he was never given a decent shot this year as his cards were already marked.

I can only despair at the bad luck and circumstances that conspired against our 2006 draft crop.

Best of luck Leroy for whatever your future holds.

Wish nothing but the best for Leroy.

Sorry things didn't work out better for him.

Meh. Woulda', shoulda', coulda'.
Flawed player, but good luck to him.

LEEEEEEROY

All the best, yes I did have a soft spot for him and desperately wanted him to make it.

Not a good draft for us that one.

Still he showed glimpses of his true talent, shame he could never put it all together.

Good luck Leroy, Hope he gets picked up again.

Remember when he had nine goes at picking up a slippery ball when he was fifteen metres clear of Harry O'Brien 20m out from goal to win the 2009 Anzac Day game?

I'll miss you Leroy.
