Thirteen seasons of absolutely outstanding service, most of that time under extremely trying circumstances. He worked his arse off for our club for a long time, but ultimately didnāt have enough help - on or off field - along the way. Thanks for all your efforts, but now itās time to part ways and let others hopefully step up.

I donāt even really care about what we get in return, just donāt force players to play for your team that donāt want to.
For anyone that follows North American sports, particularly NHL this kind of thing happens all the time. Players give everything for a team and then in their twilight go to another team to have a shot at a championship. Itās actually celebrated. When the player comes back and plays against their old club they make a video and thank them.
I feel the same with Zerrett. Heās given his all to the club. Heās won 6 B&Fs and most likely 7. Not much more he can do. Our club sucks.

The one irony is if we had done the trade last year, a host of Blitzers would have been haranguing the club (and posters who supported the trade) for us finishing last and Hawks being a premeirship favourite. Many would have believed the club caused our situation. Including other clubsā fans and the AFL.
Instead weāve had those things anyway, and everyone can see not trading him didnāt help anything.
Except being tough has put us in a worse position than doing the trade last year.
Iāve never had any issue with any player who went through the saga years of 2013-2016 wanting to leave.
