Caldwell and Durham are very samey with Hobbs but Tsatas could offer something different… but most of Hobb’s time is off half forward running in to the contest right?
He’s been more than fine off a hff
Played better than Shiel who is refusing to put his head over the ball

I like Hobbs, I think he adds toughness around the contest we lack when Caldwell is not there.
I’m trading him at the end of the year.
He will have some currency, but his pace and kicking will mean we never have to worry about him playing for an opposition club.

No. Hobbs has something. I would be taking Shiel out for Tsatas even if it does mean we have a lot of similar mids.

He was allright in the 2nd half but lets be honest, he’s just an average footy player at the moment.
I feel like most of the time he’s going to ground in a tackle and dribbling a handball half a metre away. Hopefully he learns to pick a target and drill clean handballs out. Had a mini burst including that goal, but didn’t do enough.

He was on Naicos at stoppages of the last quarter.
Hobbs is the least of our problems imo. Hell never be a world beater but he is a solid enough player.

Hobbs is just bog average. Not awful enough to stand out but he is extremely limited. He can’t tackle, and there would be few who are caught with the ball more than him I reckon.
He is probably extraordinarily lucky he landed at Essendon cos we will keep him around for another 10 years

He is 20th in the league in tackles inside 50. Our highest player.
That says both a lot about him as a player, and our team lol.

I’d keep playing him ahead of Setterfield. Not thrilled by his work but there’s something there. We might as well see if there’s upside.

kicked a nice goal yesterday.
This kid has a great attitude, love his attack on the ball but, can’t kick, slow decisions maker and does not run defensively enough for me, needs some time in the 2s to advance his game…
