I wouldn’t, I just couldn’t be ■■■■■■ writing out each year.

A part of me wonders whether he wants to play for us at all. I think he was really keen to be traded.
Just pay him out and retire him. He shouldn’t be playing for us anymore.
Can’t blame him… I mean, he made his bed and all that, but man… he was seriously sold a bridge by Campbell, Heppell, Dodo et al…
Shiel is starting to tale pages out of Fantasia’s injury playbook.
Every employer sells their organisation, it’s up to the person going to the organisation to make an informed choice.
I’d be surprised if this was an attitude thing for Shiel, he may have been open to a trade but he never made any public declarations and it seemed like Essendon were doing what they could to make it work but ultimately st kilda wanted him for next to nothing.
Because when you’re over 30, missed chunks of time with injury, and failed to pass a medical to be traded, the way to secure a new contract elsewhere is pretend to be injured even more than you already are?
He’d need to play as many games as possible this year if he wants another contract. With us, or anyone else.
He came because we hooked him up with a property development career post retirement. Why would he say no to that. It was never about our demographic or success. It’s just money. Always was.
abdominal strain! Is that code for he had the farts?! He’s gonna have to get used to VFL and he is struggling with this reality I reckon.
What does that look like, in practical terms?
VFL needed him on the weekend.
He would ahve stood out too, there wasnt many things to hang our hat on except for Davey and Caddy.
And maybe roberts
And yet he took considerably less money to come to us than Caaarlton, who could have fixed him up equally after football.
No surprise who leads this thread with posts paying out on Shiel.
It’s astonishing how far ahead of anyone else this joker is.
I have zero doubt his heart is in it anymore, probably hasn’t been for the best part of 24 month’s tbh. Sad, its a talent that got no where near its full potential.
Allegedly
Nothing alleged about it, it is on public record, to the tune of over $1 m over the course of his contract.
The contacts are on the public record?
