#9 Dylan Shiel be right, mate - from July 2022

Zero doubt hey? That’s a big call.

What’s happening here? Why didn’t he play today?

Precaution over his current injury/ which is fair enough

This guy could either be a real cherry on top for us or he may not play in the seniors again for us

Should be the latter if we are a serious club

I think he’ll get a game at some point. He’ll push Hobbs out of the team and biltz will blow up.

All jokes aside he would inject some pace into the team.

If he plays VFL and his form demands a call up, happy for him to play AFL.

But he should not be a walk up AFL start once fit.

Tsatas

Will play a few VFL games and come in for Anzac Day

Yes, but I actually think Tsatas should stay at the lower level where the pace of AFL football isn’t as demanding and he can work on his kicking. It looked good round one when he was the sub, but last week it was back to looking really odd.
Plus he can develop in the guts, he’s not good enough of a kick to play wing.

Hobbs isn’t playing wing is he?

Ahhh no? He’s playing forward/on ball where I reckon shiel would play if he came in

Small forward or hhf, only if he can apply pressure and kick a goal a game, as he likely won’t be keeping any youngsters out of the team who deserve a game (Daveys, Wanganeen, Menzie).

If he cannot adapt to the new role, then no senior games, except as occasional SUB.

Yeah correct. I would have thought if anyone were to replace Hobbs in that role, it’d be tsatas, not Shiel… or at least I think it should be tsatas, not Shiel. Was probably making my point a bit clunky.

Right, nah I think Tsatas stays mid and he wouldn’t be serviceable rotating forward. Round two I saw him try and kick around his body inside 50 and it looked awful, looked like he was trying to judo fly kick the ball. Just keeping working on the Infront drop punt young man.

Edit: why I brought up the wing for Tsatas is because that’s where they split his time when he plays 1s, which I’m sure you’re aware of, but just incase my point isn’t clear why i brought that up.

He should be trade fodder at the end of the year. We simply do not need him and freeing up his salary alone would be a boon.

Yeah he should be. We wouldn’t get anything for him though. Infact isn’t he out of contract anyway?

Even better…no trade radio drama! With Tsatas, Perkins, Hobbs and Caldwell all vying for midfield time his time at Essendon is just over for mine.

BRING

Sheil would probably make a decent wing with he’s speed and ability to chop out the mids when needed
