#9 Dylan Shiel be right, mate - from July 2022

Have absolutely zero interest seeing him play another game in red and black.

97% on this board including moi said same thing about heppell and he just got votes.
fit & in form shiel is best 22 and many of you would lose a game of concentration against goldy the goldfish.

good lord. some people just want the EFC to never progress.

What’s it really like galloping with donkeys?

He won an AA spot on the wing for GWS.
The guy is a gun, pretty much everything that could have gone wrong has gone wrong after he moved here.
Would love it if he came into the side this year and proved all the doubters wrong.

He never played wing well for GWS. That’s a myth.

He was ā– ā– ā– ā–  on a wing.

Fit he’s easily best 22.

Dodging VFL after a long lay-off, especially so early in the season, is hopefully just a bit of gossip.

I still get bemused by this. It seems it doesn’t matter how many ways you slice it there is a segment in blitz that don’t get it.

In 2017 when Shiel was AA he was in the top 3 for centre clearances in the league

It was the year he had his highest clearance and contested possession count in his career

I wouldn’t be surprised if ā€˜Never plays VFL’ was in his contract.

You know, right next to the part that says 'Also, it’s actually a seven year contract but we’ll pretend it’s six."

Has this bloke had ā€œtestā€ next to his name for 2 months now?

He reminds me of Ablett in his last year at GC just refusing to play because of a shoulder injury which didn’t seem to bother him when he got back to Geelong.

Moved smoothly yesterday- looking forward to seeing Dylan getting senior games.
Certainly an upgrade on Menzie

Time for Tarzan to drop in on the Crows and cause a bit of havoc this Friday.

Thought you’d like that.

Surely he isn’t fit enough yet to run out a game?

How many VFL games has he played? Just the one?

Correct.

He’ll be playing VFL again.
Probably 80%+ TOG.

If he plays well, you’d have to think a chance for ANZAC Day.

Scott says we only want him back if he’s 100%. I don’t reckon he’s ready.

Guaranteed in V the Crows this week.

Given his injury and time out of the game it’s going to take a fair effort to get his fitness back.

It’s also why parish has struggled. I’m almost certain that his form is poor because he doesn’t have the match legs yet and will get better over time

If he’s 100% fit, play him
