saw his VFL highlights on the AFL website and he looked a class above (which he clearly is at VFL level). Would be nice if he could get to somewhere near his best again as a HFF.

I’d rather leave an empty spot in our best 22 and develop a player we’ve yet to draft.

Agree with this. We don’t need another short senior midfielder. Wings are covered and so are fwd flankers. Sheil needs to bide his time until one of Merret, Parish, Caldwell etc are injured.

Nice showreel but he was absolutely nowhere in the second half when the team was getting beat up. And Tsatas was better in the first half before being pulled.

First game back- credit he turned it on in the first half.

i watched the first half, his work rate away from the stoppage was pretty poor, defensively and offensively

Shiel deserves to play for no other reason that he kicked the ball so well that even Weideman could mark it.

Wow. Who the ■■■■ has Shiel paid for that inaccurate headline? Standout performance hey? I watched it too…he was okay. Yes you can tell he is a class above VFL but he still looked rusty as hell and I’d say needs at least another run in the VFL.

He’d hate it, but Shiel would be a great substitute next week. Come in late, fast, can play forward and gives us run out the middle.
Also means Tsatas can actually have a full game in the seconds.
