A little crispy one Garry - The footy media thread

I see they got into your psyche.

I swear Ben Dixon is one of the biggest frauds in the footy media. Listening to him on First Crack and even David King has corrected him a few times. It’s like he doesn’t even watch the games.

I was thinking the same thing! Why all of a sudden is he getting more air time. He was horrible calling our game last night and I reckon even tonight King was like stfu mate plz

And he hosted On the Couch last week for Garry. Cmon Fox get serious.

It sounded like the Eagles were primary schoolers and the commentators were parents cheering them on and offering nothing but suggestions on what they were doing well.

I thought the best, er well most stupid comment ever was when Jack Riewoldts kick straight to Ridley in the last minute of the Dreamtime game was described as “clever”

Any commentator that never played thinks a double knot is clever.

Well it looks like Timmys job on CH7 is safe, well safe from the Shirvington takeover, because Shirvo has walked in to the Koch seat on the CH7 morning show.
I never watch it, but I imagine that after Koch had done the job for 20 or so years, he was probably as stale as the rubbish bin out the back of the Lobster Cave on a hot Sunday afternoon.

Shirvo would be a breath of fresh air I should think.

Now to prise Koch out of the job of Chief Tarp Wrangler at Port would not be so easy. Especially in 2023.

Has Footy Classified, in its 15 or so year history, ever started at the advertised time?

Every week it’s complete guesswork.

The starting time is often guesswork too.

Jack Riewoldt is such a flog. That’s all.

Had to laugh when they asked Wardlow who he grew up idolizing on 360 and he said he barracked for Essendon, but didn’t actually name anyone in particular. He then went on to name players from other clubs. Lol. I feel sorry for any EFC fans under the age of 30

Wasn’t sure where to post this but I thought this thread might be a good start.

I’m travelling to the UK for a few weeks.

Can anyone offer advice as to how I can listen to AFL online whilst there?

Thanks in advance.

Well, BT Sport broadcasts several of the weekend games … Bombers normally get their games covered but that won’t help you as a visitor I’d suspect.

Aside from the AFL app, I found WatchAFL is the go … EFC provide a promo code to overseas members so its free to me. But you can get monthly deals. Covers all games, all replays and Fox AFL programs and podcasts (AFL 360, First Crack etc.).

Is it wishful thinking, or has she who shan’t be named gone missing?

As @Bomber1408 said, the AFL app is the way to go. Was there a few years ago and that was my go to.

I use WatchAFL. The Fox commentary isn’t great but it’s a good App.
