We had a lovely and most welcome 25mm here in Portland overnight after what has been an unusually dry start to winter.
We only had 10mm

I’m happy with that. I just built a rainhead to help with excess flow off the roof which has been backing up and getting into the ceiling. Been good so far, waiting to see how it performs under pressure.

You can buy them but they’re quite expensive. I made one out of sheet metal and rivets with the help of some specialist equipment at work and free professional advice. That was with the plumbers, now I’m with the metal fabricators so when I metioned buying a Coonara they said, “Don’t buy one!” I’ll show you how to make a pot bellied stove.
I’m lucky to work with some incredibly skilled tradespeople.

Nobody will be surprised to learn the early indications are that it will be wet again Sunday week against Fremantle. Perhaps 3rd time in the wet lucky?
