It’s probably around about the Eastlink these days.
Huge amount of hail for about 2 minutes. Photo thread has the photos.
It’s rained on and off all day, seems to come in waves. We just had thunder so loud that it rattled the windows in the house and you could feel the vibrations.
Anything past Burke Rd is the sticks.
Been a pretty impressive lightshow here in the east for the past 15 minutes or so…
Burke Road! So Canterbury is the sticks?!
been bucketing down as well out this way
It is if you live in the west.
Interesting radar pattern for Melbourne, esp eastern suburbs like Caulfield
Hailstorm came through when we were driving along EastLink this evening. Looked like snow on the side of the road when the sun came out a minute later.
(Don’t worry, I was taking the photos from the passenger seat)
And you didn’t drop by to say hello?
sounds about right
I’m at Beech Forest and yesterday was completely crazy. About 5 really heavy rainfalls including a couple with hail, a couple of longish periods of lighter rain, and all broken up with enough sunshine and blue sky to generate 15kW from the solar panels. It was windy all day and cold enough for heaters. It seems to be much the same today.
Was snowing at Mt Buller and Falls Creek about an hour ago
Now raining steadily in Port Fairy, after the odd sprinkle.
I’m sure @OBITV copped it up to an hour ago.
After being nearly 45 yesterday it’s 23 currently and constant light rain for about an hour
Light and steady for now, but quite a lot more coming this way later this arvo/evening.
Pelting down now.
The fires are getting a decent dousing
Some of the heaviest rains in recent memory, roads all around the airport are underwater
