No way the paperwork would be lodged in time without a bunch being pre agreed. Has to be a bunch of stage managing going on to build suspense and make the last day a show.

All those clubs and managers would be working out deals right now and probably till mid night. if worse comes to worse the AFL could extend trade day till 6pm
Lodging done by 2pm. AFL can take a week to process it from there if necessary.
Reckon there will be a dozen plus trades tomorrow. Crows definitely will try for Francis tomorrow is my understanding
