Meh. I was told by a brother of an Eagles player that they thought he was coming to us. The link with Worsfold and also the fact we’d been chasing him since 2016. They had him gone for all money. It’s a somewhat stunning decision, but for the good of footy I’m glad it happened.

Why are people like this? I’d have thought North even with Gaff is less of a threat next year(s) than WCE adding Gaff and Kelly to the premiership team.
