You cannot discriminate on a person applying for the role based on their religion. It simply cannot be done.

It’s the fact that his role with that church is in clear conflict with the EFC stated values. His position is untenable.
Stop trying to make it about some individual vendetta. I don’t care what he does in his spare time. It’s what he does in a public role with an organisation whose values conflict with the football club. How can that even be a thing

It’s different views then the core values of the club. No one should be part of the club that does not fit into those core values. Simple really.

I think this was for the best. Considering the clubs major objective seems to be to unite the club, i can see why theyve gone this route. Just baffles me that this didnt come up during the selection process.
