This is Essendon… we can watch players miss kicks, miss handballs and not chase like so many generations before the current one.
But I have never felt the disconnect or lack of clear gameplan, as I have under Brad (and I wanted him).
But I also don’t think there’s an obvious answer out there to solve the problem. So we’re still farked and will be for a while.

Just as a matter of interest, what do you think “their agenda” is? And who are “the boys club”.
My experience of mixing with members of coteries and other club donors is that the only things that they have in common are that they support Essendon and they give money to the club, but every one of them has a different set of ideas about what is wrong with the club and what to do to remedy those things, and the idea that there’s a solid group with a single agenda is laughable.

Why should we weaken our position and give up Merret to Hawks for unders just because we need to make tough decisions?
Unless we get massive overs Merret will be at the club in 2026. its up to Hawks to get a deal done that satisfy the club
