She’s a Pies fan right? i find that odd having a board member who doesn’t barrack or have a connection with the club.
Maybe the club wanted some on the board who doesn’t barrack for the club so they can get an outside perspective on making the club better.

Has it occured to you that maybe there was no assistant coaches available on the market?
Most assistant coaches would have been locked in for 2026 to their current club. Gia leaving out of no where stuffed the club
And from all reports Solomon is highly regarded as an assistant

There would be plenty of options out there.
Solly might be a good option and I’m prepared to give him a go but we still seem to be a pretty insular club at times and always seems that ex teammates somehow get shoehorned into jobs

Hasn’t hurt Geelong. Or other successful clubs for that matter. Maybe Essendon has picked good coaches (eg: Gia) but our overall system masks their individual strengths and qualities. Or, maybe Essendon has picked crap coaches. Hard to know when the entire operation has been broken.
