We don’t really have any threads about this but I am sure we all have at some point spent numerous hours on one of the two.
I’m more of an Anime person and recently started watching Ghost stories which is fun.
Some classics are Dragon Ball/Z, Pokemon, Yu Gi Oh, Sailor Moon
but some of the more recent ones I have loved are Full Metal Alchemist, Death Note and Fairy Tail to an extent.
I’m no expert, but I am sure there are ones out there.

It’s about alien invasion, but there are no robots and Japan isn’t destroyed.
So I’ve finished season 1 SAO and churned through season 2. Prefer the dub over the sub for this one so waiting for new eps to come out.
I agree with what you said about season 2, I like the characters to keep on watching it though. Lot of fan service(when possible) in season 2 which I guess was similar towards the end of season 1.
Log Horizon was great but now I am waning of it as the storyline is getting way too much with side stories(music concerts, etc), think I will check out Parasyte this weekend

You should know by now that the story line is only ever finished up in the last 25 minutes! Side stories are a way to build characters as well.Darth your still an amateur I see. You have much to learn!
I know it, but it frustrates me when it’s pointless randoms. Get’s me every time! But I have always been in and out of anime only really started getting through shows sporadically once time has allowed.

You can’t really afford to go past the show that pretty much introduced the West to anime - Robotech. Admittedly it’s a mash up of several shows, but it’s got mechs. And then there’s your standard Cowboy Bebops and Death Notes and Ghost In The Shells and such.
I’m also partial to a bit of Last Exile too.

Naruto junkie here. Smashed the first series and onto Shippudhen.
Was Yu-Gi-Oh… but after the first series they sucked.
Fatal Fury was a good anime movie adaptation.
