The fake snow looks very icey. Can’t imagine it’s great to ski on.
Top part of the course is apparently very steep.
Saw a few supposed favorites either crash, miss a gate or just lose so much time early they were no chance.
Quite the contrary. It’s perfect for alpine ski racing, as the surface is generally very consistent. It is very icy, deliberately so, to the extent that they water it to make it icy. That’s what makes it fast. After the first ~30 or so skiers though it gets very chopped up and difficult to get edges and make smooth fast turns. So the slower skiers who go later then have to content with vastly more challenging conditions as well.

Watching the point of view run on the downhill course, there are a lot of blind crests meaning the competitors won’t see the change of direction until they are on it. Lets hop no snowboarders decide to sit below them and adjust their bindings…

I don’t know how to access that on my tv.
As much as I loathe Basil, the presentation isn’t really bothering me at all, and I don’t really know enough about the sports to want to pick and choose. Maybe recommend a particular event to me.
