I know the game hasn’t finished, but effectively it has.
There were actually some positive signs. You can see that some of the kids should become good players. But right now we are nowhere near it.

It’s been an absolutely awful year results wise
But I’m growing more confident about our future with each passing week. These young guys are so talented and have the attitude and intent to make the most of their talent. The future is very bright
Our lack of decent key defenders is alarming
Wright got more free kicks today than he has in the past 5 years
Our tackling today was as good as it’s been all year
We had a crack for 4qtrs, but our skills and execution continues to really hurt us

Well I took some positives out of today. Lots of good glimpses from the kids, our best tackling performance for a long time and Wright’s goal
kicking.
Also not too many plodders that aren’t part of our future played.

There is one thing that stood out for me today:
Our “senior” players all tend to try and avoid being tackled, as much as possible.
When you watch Robey, he invites the tackle and then defeats them.

Yes…we have been drafting players for other parts of the ground expecting that Reid and McKay would be out key backs for the foreseeable future.
Looks like we need to turn our attention to that part of the ground this year.
