Better than last week.
The lions loss was bigger. Anyway it doesn’t matter much this time of the year. At least our guys had a crack, just beaten by a much better team.
They’re getting valuable experience against quality opposition.

A lot of red time goals conceded today was the worst aspect of the game for me.

They definitely bring a lot of energy and intent and daring. But we really need to weed out the seniors who are not giving 100% and cannot develop the kids. Otherwise the bolded bit is going elude them.
This new coach has something to work with, but there is a lot of basic stuff on the ground and in the gym to sort out.

I like the kids too. I just don’t understand how anyone with an IQ above 70 can confidently say the future is bright when the same club has spent more than 2 decades failing to turn potential into success

Fck me how many goals did they score with a few minutes left in each quarter? They scored 4 goals in the last 4 minutes of the game.
Ive had gastro all weekend and somehow Essendon still managed to be the lowlight.

I thought we actually outplayed them in the third and yet they kicked 5 goals to 2. Happy with the kids today but ADW not at his best. Tried but just couldn’t impact. Not so sure Kondo is giving us much but it’s just his first year so cut him some slack.
Setters, Duz, Sharp, 2MP and Artemis all played well.

The next coach really needs to strip things back and focus on this as a matter of priority.
I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a bunch of players go backwards so alarmingly in this regard as this lot under Brilliant Brad. I don’t know what he was doing over 3-and-a-half years, but it sure as ■■■■ wasn’t coaching…
