That second where you didn’t know if it was a goal or point but then you remember it’s Walla
And how was hubby after last night. (the bastards)
He kicked it on the wrong foot: anyone else and it curves across the face of goal, and fails.
With the possible exception of only Eddie Betts, Tippa is the only player id back to kick that goal 99 times out of 100
Tippa has a wrong foot?
pumped
I still have an absolute show bag of drugs post op I can spare you
Prob some Endone in amongst that lot
What ever I haven’t taken yet after that game
my heart rate bumped 133 at the end.
Thanks mate. I had an op Wednesday so have some good drugs!
Anyone got some likes they can spare
What was it something like 25 out of 26 ‘experts’ tipped North through the Herald Sun and afl.com.au
Proving again they know fark all!!!
Gleeson was huge in the last qtr
Tippa hats off
Stringer hats off
What struck me is when he got the hand pass, he turned towards the boundary instead of the other way to give himself more space to snap at the ball and reduce the chance of getting smothered. Genius.
Apologies if anyone else has commented on this. I love Dylan Clarke AND I’m so glad he didn’t hold that mark with 34 seconds to go. Sorry, but somehow I don’t fancy him taking what would most likely have been our final kick of the day from 45 metres out.
It could (should?) have been a free against Cunnington who made no attempt to mark and just barrelled into Clarke. A free would have stopped the clock at least, whereas a mark would have left us watching the clock expire as Clarke looked for someone running past, or worse, attempted to make the distance.
It has been well documented in this thread that we start better as underdogs. The disrespect from the tipsters and the bookies (who had North favourites pre-game) is absolutely fine with me.
We will go to Adelaide next week and nobody will give us a chance and I know we will throw the kitchen sink at them - win, lose or draw.
A great win against an opponent who has been in hot form of late. But our form over the last 6 weeks stacks up very well.
And I don’t believe we’ve come close to hitting top form yet. We should’ve buried them over the 2nd and third quarters. They were lucky to still be in with a shot at 3 qtr time… even with their toughness and all that …
Maybe Barrett, it’s time to get those eyes checked.
Gleeson was fkg outstanding in spoiling the long kicks to Ben Brown. Completely outsized but zoned off just far enough that he could get a decent run and jump. Fkg heroic effort given the form Brown was in clunking.
Gleeson playing tall saved us a bit.
Having that versatility and confidence he could do the job.
Our backline was good again I thought.
Hooker/Hurley beaten in Brown
And Larkey got away.
But Redman won lots of 1-1
Saad got plenty of footy second half.
McKenna was pretty reliable.
Francis had some nice passes and good marks.
it’s hard to believe our back 6 could end up looking like this next week
B: Saad Hartley Francis
Hb: Redman Zerk- Thatcher Gleeson
And 5/6 of these guys have been in the VFL this year. I guess it shows our Vfl depth/ strength.
Our midfield struggled most of the last quarter but when game was there to be won we gave or forwards some chances.
Did anyone else think Woosha could have put Brown on Brown late and Hooker forward?
If we had Paddy Ambrose they wouldn’t have gotten close.
