Watched “Don’t Look Up” last night
All star cast with Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, Meryl Streep, Cate Blanchett, Jonah Hill and Mark Rylance.
Based on Jen & Leo discovering a comet heading towards earth that’s big enough to destroy life as we know it
Supposedly a comedy but I saw it more as satire and an obvious dig at the last few years in America.
Tried hard but didn’t quite pull it off imo.

Mrs Wim wanted to watch it but I just got burned by big cast in a movie I’ve never heard of, so I vetoed.
If somebody told me this was an SNL skit mocking the convolutedness of the franchise, I’d believe them. I could not have thought of a worse way to begin this movie.
It’s a Netflix movie so the only publicity I’ve seen for it has been on Youtube and Netflix.
And it was only released yesterday

But I meant publicity.
I still haven’t watched that…been on my Netflix list since it was released but I just can’t be bothered with a 3hr plus movie most times when I’m looking for something to watch.
I guess my point was that anything with Scorsese attached to it will get publicity

I missed Gangs of New York all these years, finally gave it a run. A good run.
I quit on it because of Cameron Diaz, who is normally no less than adequate.
Damn, but if she didn’t suck the life out of that movie.
