I wonder if the soundtrack will feature the Van Morrison Ballerina song.
Kneecap looks great… unfortunately probably won’t make it to Darwin… many melb friends have seen it and highly recommend. Definitely one i want to see.
Was going a long nicely then the train ran off the tracks…
Megalopolis… anyone seen it?
Would you recommend?
Nightcrawler - Gyllenhaal
About a creepy guy that starts filming crime scenes to sell to local tv news. Gyllenhaal is very good and believable as some kind of sociopath who films local crimes for his own gain, even getting involved at times.
There were a couple of little bits that let it down, but worth a look. 7/10
I really like Jake Gyllenhaal but I just couldn’t get into Nightcrawler at all.
I have only seen a couple of his movies. Will dig a bit deeper now. Thought he was great.
Any you would recommend?
But as a movie it was a bit weird in spots. Not in a creepy weird movie way, but some of the dialogue or the way the characters were just got a bit clunky.
The Challenger SRT was a nice touch as a support actor tho.
Jarhead and Southpaw are two of my favourites of his.
Donnie Darko!
Source code is fantastic
‘Prisoners’ co starring with Hugh Jackman is really good.
Haven’t seen this in ages! I wonder whether it holds up, I remember watching it on DVD when I was like 12.
Brokeback Mountain
I watched it again last year. Still good!
Yeah cool! Good to know,
Because it was made in that 00s butterfly effect/final destination era of movies, and they obviously haven’t aged as well. so I was wondering whether it was something you need the nostalgia element to appreciate now.
Jake Gyllenhaal … he’s been in so many now.
Apart from those referenced above, there’s always Everest … though one not so widely covered is his role in Guy Richie’s The Covenant. Its war in Afghanistan, but he and his saviour had me glued.
A great actor is Jake G.
Damn…how did I forget about that one…it’s a damn good movie.
Such a well acted movie, everyone just knocks their roles out of the park
Best comedy in years.
