At the movies - From the couch

Fair point.

At home, decent sized screen, booming sound system.

Probably better in the cinema, but it had obvious flaws.

Anybody seen Caught Stealing?

Admittedly I’m interested purely due to the Idles soundtrack, but considering finally giving in to the pestering of Mrs dingus and taking her on something she calls “a date”.

I’d rate it highly, but it’s hard to be as good let alone better than 2.5. That was amazingly good.

I loved how they kept the spirit and style of the originals while modernising some aspects.

Watched the new superman, and didn’t particularly like it. Too many times taken out of the experience by obviously stupid things. For example, I just don’t think you can go from the more realistic movie depictions to superman holding up a building by pushing in one place against the side. Luther was great, but still had areas of stupidity to allow the plot.

It just didn’t depict a world which really had metahumans. Because in that world people would definitely stand and gawk, right?

the opening text said that metahumans had been around for three centuries.

do people still stand and gawk at carbonated water and bicycles

i’m still giggling at the sparkling water gag

I agree with all of this except the dog part.

I love dogs too, but I reckon that might have been the worst part of the movie. Every time Superman is about to be defeated, the dog saves him. Man it was rubbish.

I thought superman was sposed to be the strongest being, all that happened this whole movie was he got the snot kicked out of him and had to get bailed out by the dog. Or Green Lantern. Or Hawk Girl (she was the best thing about the movie).

Absolute garbage.

Maybe I’ve forgotten how good that was.

But the new one I want to see again to catch more jokes. It was non stop.

need another cheap seat movie sesh as there’s nothing better than a busy cinema for a comedy.

For me it was that entire scene with the waiter whose brother he shot.

It was more people standing around watching the fights. Because if beings capable of knocking buildings over fight I’d stand around watching right beneath it. Just so that superman can save you (in a way that would break your neck in real life).

A bit of consistency wouldn’t go astray.

I just found it an ordinary film.

Just give Superman to Christopher Nolan already(if he will take it)

That got the biggest laugh of the movie in my cinema. Followed by the Bill Cosby joke

Nobody 2

Most enjoyable action movie I have seen for quite a while. In this sequel Hutch goes on a holiday with his family to make some memories.

I enjoyed the first one quite a bit. Odenkirk is great in everything, but this franchise really gives hope to middle aged, white, professional service workers that it’s never too late to go on a violent rampage of death and destruction.

First instalment was a massive letdown I reckon.

The Conjuring Last Rites

Really enjoyed it just as good as the first two films imo craps all over the 3rd film

If your a fan of the series you will be happy
