What a ■■■■■■■ Ace movie this is.
Cohen brothers fave with great actors, a cameo performance from Harrelson.
A story that will have you thinking a bit afterwards. Was only SBS last week as with a bunch of Cohen classics.

One Battle After Another (2025)
Leonardo DiCaprio, Sean Penn, Benicio Del Toro.
I’m in Brisbane at the moment and had a few hours to kill while I waited for the sun to go down (wanted to take some night shots of the skyline) so I went to the cinema to see this.
Had no real idea what it was about and 2.5hrs later…I’m still not sure what it was about.
There were elements of protest against the current US regime in that it there were scenes from the past and present involving illegal migrants being rounded up by overtly aggressive law enforcement, violent protestors involved in bombing government buildings with the aim of overthrowing the government …and scenes involving rich, white guys who were concerned with racial purity.
It was a strange movie.

re-watched From Dusk Till Dawn this week. Had forgotten how funny it was! Typical Tarantino over the top gore as well. Salma (until the transformation) - DAMN! nearly jump the fence material!

Been a very long time since I watched this movie. It a little disturbing, great use of surrealism with a dash of awkwardness. At the end of the movie I’m left thinking was it real or was it his story that he typed?

Mrs 10 and I watched What Maisie Knew the other day on Stan. 2012, Steve Coogan, Julianne Moore, Alexander Skarsgard and a 7 year old girl called Onata Aprile. It’s based on the Henry James novel, but updated to modern New York. I’m in two minds about it, because it completely disregards the central point of the novel, but on its own terms it’s very well done. The little girl is the daughter of Coogan and Julianne Moore; he seems to be a wealthy art dealer and she is a rock star past the first flush of youth but still successful; they are divorced and they hate each other and they use the little girl as a weapon against each other. They are brilliant at portraying utterly self-centred individuals who care nothing for the little girl. I didn’t expect much of it and Mrs 10 expected less, but we both ended up liking it a lot. Worth an 8 I think.
