Mrs 10 and I watched a movie on Netflix last night called The Woman in Cabin 10, Keira Knightley, Hugo Weaving, and possibly the most ludicrously stupid plotline ever devised by man. Or woman. Or possibly AI. 90 minutes or so of our lives that we’ll never get back.
And don’t watch the third one. It was awful…Once Upon a Time in Mexico?

Yes I loved the way el mariachi finished and a nice origin story for what (from memory) comes next.
I was going to watch that last night. Might watch it as my Sunday night wind down
I’ve seen Salma Hayek in the flesh at a premiere. She is of very small stature.
She loves old rich men. Married a billionaire I think.

There’s loads of Mexicana or other Latina women out there that are as good looking and don’t require a billion dollars.
And they age fairly gracefully too.(a fair generalisation)

watched enemy of the state on telly last night. hadn’t seen it since it came out.
at which time i thought it was good, but the premise was sci-fi nonense.
but last night thought its now about 15 years out of date

I went as a +1 with Mrs Wim to the premiere. I can’t remember if it was the director or not, but they insisted very strongly that everything in the movie was existing tech.
I’m recovering from my worst ever dose of the flu, and spent the afternoon watching Tony Scott’s version of The Taking of Pelham 123. I saw the original when it came out back in the late 70s and it was a damn good movie, but I actually think Tony Scott’s was every bit as good. He was an outstanding action director but never got the recognition that his brother did. He also made the best vampire movie I’ve ever seen (The Hunger). 8.5/10.

Being a connoisseur of Mexican telenovelas, I’d put Maite Perroni and Carolina Miranda up for consideration too. Chuck in Zuria Vega and Oka Giner too.
And we’re only scratching the surface. Regard Colombian shows the same as Mexican.
The Hunger is hard to find. Maybe only on DVD on special order. But 100% worth it.
The stories around the making of this film are mad. If you get a chance read ‘Rebel without a crew’.
His subsequent career and outlook on filmmaking is something else.

Edit: Not sure what this was trying to be? It was ok - good. Part Coen Bros? (Poorer version for sure) part Triangle of Sadness?
