At the movies - From the couch

Falling Down is an awesome movie. In that one I like Douglas character and emphathised with him and his situation. Crowe’s character i didn’t have any empathy for.

I thought Crowe and his performance helped the movie, would of been a straight to dvd flick if he hadn’t of been in it

I thought it was clever casting because Crowe has a reputation for being a hothead- so it suited him and how audiences already view him

He certainly got into character with how much weight he has stacked on.

He looked like he has eaten a person whole.

Do you reckon part of it was makeup or he really is that big? He looked like a could drop dead of a heart attack at any time

It looked like it was all him but who knows.

He has always had the frame for it.

He’s all class there.

Oi! That’s just a well-built bloke there.

Goodness, he’s really let himself go. That body shape surely has to be career/role limiting as an actor.

Saw Tenet last night. I liked it but its not up there with the best of what Chris Nolan has produced for a few different reasons. Very cool idea though

The cast was horrible imo. I didn’t care about them.

Nolan movies usually have Bale, DiCaprio, Hardy, etc.

Nobody wants to see Robert Pattinson…

I thought Washington was good( first time i had seen him in anything), Pattinson was meh. The only character i truly cared about was the woman though and her backstory

The production was amazing.
The set pieces were friggin’ awesome.
The plot was pants.

Line that made me spew:

Including my son.

And I see I’m not alone in cringing at that clunker.

Nolan is the best at putting together awesome action sequences and set pieces. That bungee thing was awesome

Nolan is one of the most overrated directors of our generation.

I wouldn’t go that far, but as for getting good performances from actors, I’m starting to think Ledger was a massive outlier, if not a complete accident.

Nolan has gotten some great performances out of actors

Bale as Batman
Ledger as Joker
Di Caprio in Inception
Mconaghey in Interstellar
Pearce in Memento

to name a few

It’s rare that someone gives a bad performance in his movies

Bale is aaaaaawful as Batman.
He’s pretty decent as Wayne.
I’ll give you Di Caprio, but…you know…come on. It’s Di Caprio.
I do not agree about Interstellar. If he’d come off Sahara then, sure.

wow I can’t agree at all. I’m a batman superfan and i thought he absolutely nailed it. A lot of people hate the gravelly voice but i loved it. Perfectly suited who he becomes when he puts on the suit

For mine Tenet is the only movie he is made that i wouldn’t classify as great( i havent seen following yet). I thought it was good but not up to the standard that he has set.

I didn’t mind greyhound. Was just ok.

I reckon he did a good job of batman…

I thought his most edgy and interesting flick is still Memento
