Into the Spiderverse is the best of the lot by a long way. In my top 5 Marvel movies.

Turned it off half way.
First two IM’s, Ragnarok, IW and Endgame, obviously, Deadpoool one and two if we’re counting them, both Guardians, and pretty much all of what if. Oh, and WV and Loki.
The second last one was a bit lame but the last Dr Strange one was a ripper.
Oh. And Dr Strange.
And the first three Spider-Man movies.
Pretty much anything I saw all the way through.
So…Ant-Man as well.
Ragnarok, Winter Soldier, Civil War, Infinity War (but not Endgame). Iron Man 1 & 3.
Antman 1 and 2 stand up well any time Antman is not on screen, that guy just irritates me. CA1, Thor 1, are pretty basic but a lot of what came after wouldn’t work without them.
The Guardians films didn’t do anything for me, Dr Strange, Black Panther and Captain Marvel were kinda by-the-numbers, competent enough but not really breaking the formula too much (for DS and BP) or breaking it in weird and not-entirely-successful ways (CM)
Haven’t seen any of the new Spiderman films or the TV shows.
Did you see the joker film? It’s not DC as such, but what did you think?
Need a separate thread for “Super Hero Flicks” me thinks… 
There’s so fking many of them I have no doubt it’d be worth it.

No, l haven’t seen it as yet. When it makes its way onto TV l will probably catch up with it, but am in no hurry.
Joker is R rated doubt you will see it on TV.
I don’t think that’s Marvel studios, it’s Sony.

Agree. I thought it was awful and embarrassingly derivative.
Maybe not in full form, but thousand upon thousand of R flicks make it to TV with top rating and some judicious edits.

Not really a fan. I know it’s just a trailer but looks devoid stylistically of what made the first matrix great. Also, would it kill for Keanu to not look like John wick?

Has a mass of expectations to not only stand on its own, but to undo the damage of the previous finale.
I think anything really would undo the damage of the last two films. I think the matrix series could really fit thematically in this day and age with technology/ social media/ all seeing information gathering companies, but not sure whether this movie would bother explore any of that.

Carrie Anne Moss is looking great though.
It can’t be any worse than Revolutions which was one of the most gruelling cinema experiences i’ve had, I just wanted everyone to shut up and the movie to end. If this is fun B-grade pulp trash then it’ll be an improvement.

■■■■ had a look at one of the original Matrix trailers. From when they werent just lazy montages of the film with a somewhat topical music video in the background synced up to the action.
Im just fkg jaded with the past decade of movies. So homogenous.
Film making peaked from mid 80s to mid 00s IMO, with the years between terminator 2 and titanic being the apex.
