Who's going to see Fifty Shades of Grey?

I saw it expecting it to be really really really bad and wasn’t disappointed. I havent read the books but I’m told the dialogue is just as bad. There is no chemistry between the actors, the dialogue is shocking and the sex scenes are blah and drag ooooooon (all in slow !motion FFS)

I love Mark Wahlberg but I thought Lone Survivor was the epitome of “average film”. True story or not.

I agree that Lone Survivor was an average film but what it did do well was create tension. I also felt the hopelessness of the situation for the characters when I watched it.

Gone Girl.

The last half hour has me psychologically scarred forever.

Great movie though.

I rewatched it last night with Mrs Peos.

Surprisingly still good the second time, if not slightly less of a head fark.

David Fincher is a freak.

If it’s artfully shot and tastefully lit.

American Sniper was good (4/5, although Mrs AD Don gives it 2 snores out of five). I felt it suffered from not really knowing what kidn of film it was. It did a good but not great job of highlighting the psychological effects of war (Hurt Locker springs to mind as a film which does better on this front) and the action scenes were fine but lacked a certain sense of intensity, interest and chaos (again Hurt Locker was better at this as was Lone Survivor). Not helped by Cooper's character having practically no emotional range. Good film but a bit disappointed as I expected more.

Disappointed, yet you give it 4/5?
So if you had loved it, what… you’d ■■■ in your pants?

Off topic post:

I just watched Toy Story 3 for the first time on the weekend.

Why did nobody warn me?

■■■■■■■ allergies started to flare up right at the end.

They should put a warning out for movies that do that.

■■■■■■ irresponsible.

The Interview. it was bad, but i was expecting it to be horrendous, so overall i dig it and had some decent laughs throughout. sometimes ya just need an average, simple and stupid movie and this hit the spot.

Hahaha… I think my ‘allergies’ flared up watching that too.

It was a good but not great film. I was hoping it would be a great film but it was not so I was disappointed.

You’re welcome.

Cheers!

LOL, 50 Shades took $82M in the US on its first weekend.

I think it’s awesome that women finally have equality in being manipulated into spending money on absolute trash because sex.
