Fair cop. I accept the judge’s decision.
Maybe unpopular opinion, but better overseas than to local shops (other than game days)
Don’t worry, it wasn’t funny anyway ![]()
What would the opposite of Aus Slop be? Things that we all should be proud of, are just top shelf quality and transcend time but remain uniquely Australian?
Dot and The Kangaroo. I still watch it with my young daughters. They love…as do I.
Wake In Fright. I haven’t watched that with them yet, but I never tire of it.
Lobby Loydes GOD from Sunbury 73. The instrumental by which all long electric fuzz jams should be measured.
The phrase “old mate” for some random guy you don’t know. And “go you good thing”.
These used to be Sydney slop but are spreading everywhere.
Calling people “Keith”. Just no.
I’ll take a machine gun approach, this will be hit and miss.
Aussie Battler
Delta Goodrem and the fact that she obviously has no fans and is propped up by the industry
ARIA Awards which are full of industry plants, like the above.
“Day for it”
Comments section on any Gezza1967 YouTube channel with gloriously nostalgic footage of late 20th century Melbourne ruined by snarky losers who got old and jaded and are too dumb to realise that it’s them and they are old and jaded and suck now, not necessarily their surroundings.
The term Coffee culture still getting busted out.
The cult of Bunnings. Sure it’s convenient and very handy and even though I couldn’t give a rat’s toss bag about DIY and tools, I do miss those small, cluttered hardware stores with the scruffy boffin in his mid 60’s in a jumper with holes in it, who knows every damn tool and screw and knows where to find them amongst the organised chaos of his shop. Bunnings marketing has tried so hard to cultivate something which seems human but it just isn’t. Those old hardware stores were also a great indicator as to whether a street or area was about to lose its grit and become gentrified. They were often one of the first businesses to move on replaced by Quick Brown Fox or years later a place where you might find a $350 tshirt.
But I digress…
Aunty Donna’s fanbase.
Every fifth bakery with pie of the year awarded by 3aw or some local rag dating back to 2003 - three ownerships ago. Actually this might be amusing now.
“Bugger!”

Likewise: A fair go, don’t dob in your mates
John Williamson in general (dated)
“From little things…” can appreciate the original sentiment, pretty sure it’s since been used by financial outfits.

So what is the story behind this crap?
These stickers you see on posts about someone doing a website for $500. “Im not your therapist, pay or ■■■■ off”
