Australian Policies -- from 2025 Federal election

Standard Liberal election process.

When do they ever say something positive?

According to the AEC the blackout applies to

  • Commercial TV and radio broadcasts
  • Subscription TV broadcasting -
  • Class licensed services like Community TV and narrow casts.-

It doesn’t apply to

  • social media
  • streaming services like YouTube and Spotify.
  • News online and print news-
  • text messages.

whos winning?

I define fascinating as an election where there are a whole bunch of unknowns going into the vote counts.

Which I think definitely applies this time.

It will be boring and Labor will easily win even if a low scoring game.

The envy of the world?

How’s does the :poop: smell today?

The very problem is that there will be a record number of dissatisfied people voting in the election.

The actual voting system. The process governed by the AEC.

Not the politicians.

Are you Anthony Green?

Please.

If I had the decision-making ability to correctly call elections with staggering reliability, do you think I’d follow ESSINGTON?

I just like statistics and data. Elections are incredible for that.

Fark it’s going to be great watching Dutton get creamed tomorrow.

What about streaming services like SBS has? As I said, I think this is a loophole they have exploited

There were eight consecutive political ads (for both ALP and LNP) on Kayo before the game started tonight.

More importantly, are you Antony Green?

So we all voting for Trumpet of Patriots or what

Every three years i get to update the HM Election Endorsement Spreadsheet, which is your periodical reminder of just how right-wing, reactionary and hidebound most of the Australian media is, depite valiant attempts on behalf of the right wing to portray themselves as a poor liddle oppressed minority with nobody on their side. I mean seriously, look at this mess.

Not many surprises this year.

West Australian and NT News haven’t published their endorsements yet, I’ll update when they do. The AFR and Herald Sun continue their proud (?) record of endorsing the Coalition EVERY election, no matter how abjectly awful their faves might be at the time. The Hobart Mercury swings back to the coalition after a couple of indecisive years, quoting cost of living relief. The Advertiser spends 80% of their editorial panning the ALP, but then sneaks in a ‘but Dutton’s campaign suuuuucked’ right at the end which means they don’t quite endorse the Libs flat out. But it then says it probably doesn’t matter who wins as long as it’s a majority govt that locks out the ‘mad Greens, self-serving Teals, or independent rabble’. Yes, that’s a direct quote. The Guardian is still too chicken to endorse away from a major party, so they’re all sort of ‘it has to be the ALP over the coalition, but yeah, probably voting strategically for third parties might be an idea if you want Albanese to actually DO something to support the progressive ideals we talk a big game about’. Wishy-washy nerds.

For what it’s worth I believe Josh Burns will retain McNamara over the Greens. There’s been a big push for liberal voting Jews to vote for Josh Burns to “keep the Greens out”. This has been spoken about a lot within the Jewish community. I think Josh retains the seat.

I am Antony Green, and so is my wife.
