$200k as an income earner. And I also mentioned about corporations and $bn. Was asking who will they be taxing?
Not surprised you only half read something
There’s always an excuse. Thsts our problem. The government, despite all the warnings won’t take any responsibility. It could be argued the penny is dropping with the government addressing net migration numbers as an example.
And it’s fun to bash those not on the left who don’t do their own costings as well
So what is the Australian government suppose to do about Netanyahu’s war in Iran, so we can lower inflation?
Iran war isn’t the reason we are where we are. It’s only contributed to a home grown inflation problem that needed to be addressed by this government well before February 2026.
from the same article:
now to dedicate the rest of my afternoon to working out if the numbers 8 through 13 are less than 16.5
And inflation was coming under control until Netanyahu started dropping bombs on Iran.
Even the RBA said it is the biggest problem for inflation right now.
No it wasn’t. It was becoming endemic.
The government brought inflation down from over 7% to 2% in 2025.
The war started in February 2026
I do dislike when people repeat statements of “fact” from biased sources.
Lets look at the inflation rates from pre-US/Iran war.
(Source OECD)
Australia is squarely mid-table.
When looking at the current inflation values, Australia is lower than Lithuiania (6.9%) Iceland (5.9%), Mongolia (12.9%), Pakistan (10.3%), Philippines (7.2%).
Just looking at the G20 ish countries.

In fact, Australia’s current inflation of 4.3% is the same as the OECD average inflation rate (4.3%).
This is despite the fact that Australia has less competition among retail and service providers than “ideal” countries such as the USA and the UK.
Believe whatever you want to Jono. We had an inflation problem before the war started.
Here’s some facts for from the ABS.. Both the absolute and underlying figures were comfortably above the RBA target band of 2-3%. Things were not good when the war started.
You often tell people to take their blinkers off, you need to as well
We’re all biased Tezza. Even you my friend.
And I wonder how much of this inflation is just plain of opportunistic greed. Oh well everyone has been condition to accept this so call crisis so lets just increase prices
I agree. I reckon greed is at the heart of most problem. I agree entirely.
Not stupidly and stubbornly biased though. If the liberal party would stop chasing one nation polling I would like to see them return to the middle and give me something to look at. I have said on numerous occasions I will be seeking a good strong energy and climate independant candidate to vote for next time. Liberals are utterly cooked and labor has squandered one of the biggest majority in history.
If you think that sounds like bias then like your beloved liberal part you are cooked too mate
this is going to be a waste of a post but the 2012 study already identified Sunshine as preferable on multiple criteria, notably connections to the (then in planning) metro tunnel and Vline regional links
the dumbest political beat up
Dude you asked the question of the Greens policy initiative which stated a base 5 million in property. You made up the 200k figure as far as I can see. You accused me of dodging questions but I’ve answered every one without prevarication unlike yourself. If you need to defend your mates dmapes and Lawry go ahead but stop wasting my time with this ■■■■. By the way, they’re basically bots here now, they can look after themselves.
And it’s fun to bash those not on the left who don’t do their own costings as well
Who mentioned the left? Greens and Indies, that’s a fair mix generally. Have a crack at Pocock, he’s saying similar things, called for windfall taxes, called for environmental regulations. People all over the farking world are calling for wealth taxes, regardless of their ‘side’. The implementation is the easy part, getting it to that point is virtually impossible. I’ll ask again, do you have a problem with it?
