Yes
Tax the billionaires and folks funneling money offshore but leave out the ones who own a few investment properties

Always picked you as a closet HS reader. I bet you do the crossword every day.

Always a funny read, to hear some of the cooker conspiracies….. and all the made-up stories about Dan Andrews.

I have friends with a decent sense of humour (google it) who share such things. But if I’m pushed and at a cafe owned by one of those important cafe owners I’ll glance through the sporting news. And I do love an Australian arts section in the Lounge, although I think they’ve cut that down to reviews of Keith Windschuttle and Delta Goodrem of late.

You really do think about me too much Bill

Wasn’t asking you but I agree to an extent. We are talking about getting toward a tax on excessive, nation harming wealth accumulation, the mechanics are the simple part, albeit hardly simple.

Already answered that

Oh the irony

At least someone in your group does

Good chat. Hope it solved your issues with whatever the real subject was.

Because it took about 5 posts for you to mention windfall tax (only happens when an area is re-zoned)

I’m not David Pocock, I’m not the Greens. Your premise was you can’t just say you’ll tax the rich, you have to say how and who etc. You seemed to then ask that of posters including me, then accused me of dodging the question when I interpreted it as rhetorical. Stop digging, this is just stupid and tedious. We agree to a degree that excessive wealth should be taxed. We now know you are not a billionaire. Good stuff.

Just to clarify…in case any of you are thinking that I should be paying more tax:

  1. I do not own a multi national company
  2. I do not own a resources company
  3. I do not own a fossil fuel company
  4. I do not own any shares
  5. I am not a billionaire
  6. I don’t even own multiple properties

Cheers

I think you’re biased Tezza. We all are to our preferred political philosophy. Anything against our own philosophy we openly criticise and find fault. You do about the ‘right’ and I do about the ‘left’. That’s as obvious as night follows day. Find your progressive independent and vote away!

You said we didn’t have an inflation problem at the time the war started. We did. It was well above the target range at 3.7%, underlying at 3.3%. it cant be any more clear than that Jono.

I said the government was getting it under control.

Which they were.
