On the other hand, he doesn’t much need them, as long as he has the support of that one American who owns all our fkg media.

How did Gladys know before ICAC that the people Daryl was dealing with were dodgy?
Even after the ICAC , she did not feel she should raise issues with the relevant people in ICAC or take it up with her advisors.
Poor Gladys, she didn’t join the dots, no hint of corrupt activity, we all trusted Daryl, she kept her private life separate from her public office.

Berejiklian has had so much evidence put in front of her that she knew Daryl was dodgy and she embarassingly still says she had no reason to be suspicisous or report him to icac. Its utterly unbelieveabe. Besides the fact she kept their entire relationship a secret for 5 years. Its so cringeworthy to watch

So she is now contradicting herself very badly. She now says when he was forced to resign on the 13th after his testimony on july 13 and she had had a 52 minute conversation about his upcoming evidence to icac on the 5th of july, that she still didnt offer anything or report to icac after the 13th. She is toast.
No wonder she resigned in such a hurry

It does seem as though she’s been advised as to exactly how to answer these questions.

Her new QC boyfriend dropping free advice?

Noteable change today, shes been agressive, sharp, defensive and has been warned several times to answer the questions put to her and not look around corners

Rewind to an earlier Morrison visit to Europe , Morrison and Macron being interviewed together; Morrison talking up the depth of the bilateral relationship; Macron saying it was underpinned by the sub contract at that time.
Macron knew it was shaky, you are on notice.
So Morrison subsequently dashes off to Washington, meets up with Boris and Biden, announces AUKUS, France left out of the Indo Pacific strategic alliance.
Including Boris in the deal added insult to injury to the Europeans.
Back in the Anglosphere, stemming the China tide.

She has had access to the totality of the ICAC evidence for at least a month, would have been aware from her previous appearance as a witness going back a year that all of her calls and texts were intercepted.
Admittedly she has had less time to prepare following the recent evidence of the likes of Cruikshank .
Her personal recollection differs from that of Cruikshank. Not her recollection that she told Sarah the relationship had ended by the time she became Premier.

Gladys thinks Counsel is being suggestive about the relationship with Daryl.
She gets reminded that she and Daryl had planned to be married after his retirement, not quite an on and off relationship.

Setting her up now that she told her cheif of staff on the 13th of july after the ■■■■ hit the fan, that she had been in a relastionship with maguire but she ended it when she became premier, which would seem to be an outright lie.

Shes in very deep ■■■■ now it seems, if she wasnt already

Goes in camera, connected to suppression of names to protect the innocent.
Cruikshank lawyers allowed to be present. Her word against that of Gladys.

For the life of me I can’t work out why he tried to avoid going to Glasgow. Seems like he’s having heaps of fun.

She admitted being in a relationship with him for 5 years, how is what they are saying “suggestive”?

This sounds like she is using the Clinton style of denial.

She would have known that ICAC knew about the nature of the relationship, not going to get trapped into saying why bother to report what they already knew…
It goes to public trust, she didn’t want the electorate to know of her relationship with a disgraced individual after her elevation to the Premiership and in election campaigns.
That goes beyond the narrower confines of ICAC findings on public trust.
Pre selection for Warringah looking shaky.

The line is ‘who is your favourite GENIUS, James Hird or James Joyce?’

Now go to your room and copy out the lyric sheet from www.tism.wanker.com 100 times, or else hand in your TISM nerd card…

So she has been treating it like her Covid press conferences? Does she request to leave after half an hour too?

Back with Gladys. She was alerted to advice that a staff member was going to be giving evidence going back to 2016 about Daryl and Operation Dasher ( Canterbury Council?) but she had no info as to the connection, did not make further inquiries.
Cannot draw conclusions from her note that she was encouraging others to come forward, only to follow proper processes
But she herself had nothing to report, the one closer to him than others.
Rejects the premise of the Q that concealing the relationship had any connection with politics.
It would never happen that she had read something and not annotated it.

Why did she keep it quiet for so long? It doesn’t seem normal to me that all those around her had no idea she was in a long term relationship. I mean she started dating her lawyer and it was all over the place, so why did she hide the one with Maguire for 5 years?

Surely her explanation of not listening or not caring or not beleiving to him about his 1.5 million commission simply does not cut the mustard.
Even the newscorp cheer squad would have difficulty fobbing this off.
Its just not believeable on any level of human intelligence
