Haha, PM answers Q about India to the effect that the security relationship in the Quad is about Indo Pacific security.
But why is he linking Ukraine to Australian security threat - greatest in 80 years ( no mention of Australian role in Indonesian Confrontation, Korean War, Vietnam and the domino theory).
He does however state that Taiwan and Ukraine not comparable.

Newcastle has just about everything going for it (except for coal).
Port Kembla could do something to lift Wollongong.
Newcastle is ok these days, last 10-15 years especially they have done a heap of good work up there. Wollongong on the other hand is still a shithole

Shouldnât the major priority of our defence policy be to defend Australia most efficiently and effectively, rather than âliftâ a town in NSW? Are no coastal towns much closer to potential invasion sites and our major export ports worthy of a âliftâ?
Itâs dire in NSW, stretching from the Tweed to the Illawarra ( except for Sydney ) with more rain bombs to come.

Upgraded how? By transferring subs currently in WA to NSW?
Not to labour a point, but WA covers a third of the land area of the country. It has major iron ore and gas exports that prop up the national economy and is potentially closest to any invasion.
Yet for a third of the country, it has only 2% of the air force, and 19% of the navy. Todayâs news reports said that the WA naval forces will be reduced. I havenât heard your news of upgrades but itâs not like the PM for NSW to be looking to do that.
The Libs are very good at making sure those who are overworked and carrying them cop all the blame for their incompetence. Seems their favourite thing to do.
